Wexford Sights (V): Sunsets in December

It may be bitterly cold here in County Wexford (by local standards, of course; when it drops to below +5C here in Ireland, we complain furiously about the chill in a temperature that probably would barely register with the average Scandanavian) but the sunsets recently have been breathtakingly beautiful. Of course, it's so difficult to capture a sunset in a photograph, but here are my attempts (taken on Tinaberna and Ballinesker strands). Such glory (the sunsets, not the photographs) is a welcome distraction from the sickening story from Listowel that has dominated headlines here in Ireland (see here and here for more details). And finally, here's a picture of our faithful hound being his usual demented self!
And here's a piece of music I quite like:

Ah those are utterly beautiful. Well worth the cold to catch them!

Thanks Jams! The last few weeks have been a sunset connoisseur's delight in Wexford (and, I assume, everywhere else)...

Beautiful shore scenes, Doubtful! They're good encouragement for long walks at this time of year.

I like the look of your faithful demented hound, and the sound of Susan Alcorn's Twin Beams.

Sometimes an inner voice would ask: 'Sean, don't you think by now you have photographed enough sunsets?'
'Quite', I'd reply, 'but look. Isn't this one extraordinary beautiful?'

Thinking of last night's minus 19°C, your sunsets are warming my heart, D.E..
And Rothko gives me a big smile.
Thank you.

Stan: I'd have taken a long walk today if the roads weren't so dangerous!

Sean: -19! I hope you're wrapped up warm! And yes, sunsets are something that one can never have enough of...

Toronto is very mild but so gray recently. Grateful for your glorious sunsets. The music is hauntingly beautiful. Love the sound of that instrument. Faithful companion imitating master? Take care.

Thanks Claudia! It's actually quite beautiful here (if you don't have to drive anywhere and have a heated house, as I do). I felt the music somehow complemented the pictures. And yes, the hound has a lot of his owner's spirit (albeit with more energy)!
